I hope you have a great day too.

My plans for the day include enjoying our forecasted 50° temps.

My frost bitten bird is looking much improved. Even with that frostbite she hasn't missed a beat in behavior or laying. Such a trooper my little Georgia is.

While they would like to be out of the run we have had heavy hawk activity so that's a big no. I will bring treats for them while I am out cleaning the coops.

Other than coop cleaning there is the regular chores to do and a feed run. If I have time I will begin binding that big blue and white quilt.

Ah! Forced vs volunteer, makes sense.
I plan on painting cupboard doors. The snow/ice melted enough to where I could finally get them free. I had put them outside for sanding when we first got hit with tons of snow. Thankfully they are still in good shape.

Unsolicited advice.....

Bring them in to warm and thoroughly dry or the paint won't stick well causing peeling in a month or so.

Coops are cleaned. Rudy chewed me out, Mandy pecked me repeatedly, and Cassiopeia gave me "THE eye" the whole time but the coops got cleaned anyway.

I got about a third of the binding on that quilt.

Shavings were hard to come by. I hit 3 places before I found any. The estimated time for another shipment is 3-6 MONTHS.
