It's good to be able to sneak a bit of time for friends. :hugs

Truth is there is still a ton of work to be done....just to darn hot to be outside at all.
It was 90° by 9am today.
I miss being a home body and having my cool early morning temps to do my outside stuff in.
 
These children must have finally figured out it's ok to not be loud little twerps at night.
They're actually being quiet and peaceful.
I did leave them outside from noon to almost five so maybe they just tired themselves out.
I do have one of the ones that I think is a dark brahma that has a little pasty butt isn't terrible though but I'm not that one's favorite person.
They can really throw out a stink eye for a little chick, must be those caveman eyebrows.

It's nice they got tired and you get to get some rest.
They are a cute little basket of fluff for sure.
For what it's worth....my brahmas were naughty babies that mellowed out incredibly before laying age.

Baby stink eye is hilarious!
 
Good morning!
Everyone is fed big babies, little babies and Bob.
I appear to have a broody this morning one of the nests growled at me,no idea who it is because I went out blind so everyone is pretty much a blob.
Stayed up a bit later than I should have playing skatebird which is just what it sounds like.

These aren't too bad, or at least I don't think they are.
I'm hoping they were just a tad funky due to the extended box time.
I've just been raising them derp style and hoping for the best but there are definitely a couple that are more high strung and none of them will shut their eyes on me if I'm doing anything around them.
It's almost like they think I'm shifty.:)

Looks like it's going to be another scorcher today, they're predicting triple digits here.
I'm thinking I might have to set up the bigger brooder sometime this week these guys are getting big pretty darn fast.
Bright side I'm not seeing any obvious boys popping out yet.
Not so bright side that means I possibly have ten potentially big girls and my poor old roosters are going to have a stroke.:p
