Thats a beautiful kind of backyard to have there Buster!Nothing more relaxing after a hard day than walking the bank throwing in a lure!

Greybear sorry about the cow. Thats dang tough! Hope more of those games hatch. That was sure a pretty rooster.

We had more showers and its actually nice outside right now. Of course with all this wet and humidity the mousquitoes would proably carry you off!lol. I stet two more bantam hens tonight. Total of 24 eggs altogether. With the hot temps they can cover more.Going to have to wean some from the hens tho as I'm running out of places to put all the familys. And they will not get along with each other for nothing!lol

Howdy Wayne, glad to here your weather is nice we could sure use some of that rain. I just bagged my first fox a few minutes ago hes been taking a hen every few days. I have shot at him twice but never had a good clear shot. well he slipped up this evening and paused a little too long. We got a pair of red frizzled bantams this past weekend they are tiny.
Greybear sorry to hear about the cow and calf, even with all the medicine and having them in the hospital we still lose them sometimes. Sounds like you did your best.

Hello all. It has been a while since I have posted. We are all doing good here. We have just been really busy. I get next week off to finish the house. I have a question though. It is sacrilegious to paint brand new oak cabinets white? I have been catching all kinds of crap because I want white cabinets. The way I look at it is . . . I paid for 'em, I can paint 'em any dang color I want. Everyone else thinks that I should stain them.

That does help a lot....thanks for the info! I appreciate it.
I saw on craig's list a person who lives close has a trio for sale. I gave them a call; they were born in Novemember and has been laying eggs for a couple of months or so. The owner said that she took the first few eggs and put them in the bator with a good hatch rate and has some eggs from in bator now....but wants more pen space for other birds that's why she wants to sell...sounds like a good deal.
Worst thing that happens is that I get them and they really aren't what I wanted we can take them to Flecher

Take care

Plywood gets painted, hardwood gets stained and sealed. I mean why pay a premium price for hardwood just to cover it up?

Good to see you haven't been washed or blown awy there NN. I agrre,as a cabinet shop manager for 10 years, hardwood is to valuable and pretty to cover with paint,at least until it gets so old it needs it! Smfamf, think about resale value,I know you don't think you will ever sell it but along comes someone and sees the finished home and likes it more than they like the money in their pocket, happens all the time.

I agree with nn; but if you must, sherwin williams does sell a white stain that will also let the rich oak grain pattern show...but ultimately, you have to live with them, we don't; so you should do what makes you happy...one last thought; not knowing your future intentions, but if you ever decide to sell, painting hardwood will be a demerit on the apprasial.
