Opinions of my coop and run, please!

Hi, check out the photos. I built the coop (very secure) and the attached run that they're allowed out into when I open a little door.

What I'm curious about is what you all think of the arrangement, the bedding, and the fact that they run around on the same patch of dirt outside all the time. Is that an issue?

Thank you.

Looks nice and airy.
I see a couple places the HC is not well attached.

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Thanks, I added my info. I'm just south of San Francisco, about 5 miles from the coast. It doesn't get below 30 degrees more than once or twice per year, if that. I'll check the hardware cloth but it's VERY secure everywhere that matters. Can't hurt to double-check though, as we do have raccoons and coyotes and I've even seen a mountain lion on my deck (security cameras).

Maybe the one by the sliding door doesn't matter, because that door locks at night, right.
But the staples, hopefully pneumatic and at least an inch long, being on the outer wire could be at risk.

Thanks for sharing. Consider some additional mulch, dry leaves, etc. in the run. Will help to keep the mud down. Adding branches to sit on, tree stumps, old crates to hide in, etc. to keep it interesting for them. Enjoy!

At a glance it looks pretty good, but x2 on a photo from further back to show the whole thing. I'd consider adding a few more pieces of clutter to the run to make it more interactive, that's about it. And don't worry if they have a favorite spot or two in the run, mine spend the majority of the time in about 25% of the run.

Also how many birds, and do you know the approximate size of both coop and run?

8’ x 8’
Hardware cloth, I think 1/2” holes in the wire. More pics.
