Oregon Fall Poultry Swap! 9/25/10 11am **all details on first post!*

Hi, folks -

I only recently became aware of the swaps and can't make the next one, but I have some partridge Penedesenca cockerels that are looking for a new home. I have two that are about 10 weeks old that would need to go pretty soon, and another four that are about 6 weeks old. I'd appreciate a PM or email message from anyone interested. They'd need to be picked up here in Corvallis.

For those that don't know the breed, they were developed in NE Spain (Catalunya) and are known for their very dark brown eggs. They have white lobes and interesting appendages that stick out from their combs. They are a fairly rare breed, so I'd really love to see these guys adopted rather than processed

UPDATE: If all goes smoothly, it looks like these boys have a new home lined up. Thanks, everyone!

I'm so glad you like her Laura

All my animals are pretty friendly. It comes from being tortured with excessive love from all my kids and their friends.

Well it shows and I like that. It's so much nicer when you get birds that are tame and loving especially in our house. Her excessive loving will continue here

In fact, I'm going outside to give her some now!

edited to show off the little beauty

Oh man, just a couple of weeks, guys!
(Sorry I haven't been here, classes just started.)
Totally convinced a friend from school to come with me. Apparently she's getting chickens too!

I also have some non-chicken available items

I have 4 baby chinchillas that just turned 8 weeks old and are ready to go to their new homes. I am not planning on bringing them just to show off as they need to be researched before they are purchased but if anyone is seriously interested I would be happy to deliver them to the swap.

They are super cute and really friendly because the kids love on them all the time.

Thanks!

still waiting on the landlord decision but I will know for sure by the time the swap rolls around if I can truly keep chickens. I am basing this request on the fact that I am 99% sure that I can have chickens.
I am looking for a golden or silver laced wyandotte pullet or hen under 1 year. An Easter Egger or an Orpington (preferable black) or even a black star is ok too. It has been agreed with my DH that I can have 3 chickens (so I am sure I can sneak one more in there without him noticing

) and Speckles definitely needs some friends.
I am also possibly interested in a coop or some thing to help build a coop and run.
