Oregon Fall Poultry Swap! 9/25/10 11am **all details on first post!*

Quote:
I have only frozen one and it turned out just fine after thawing, so I will say yes! Just let me know what type of regular one you'd like!

What are the choices?

Arugula~ Just wanted to give you an update! The girls are with their new roo now, and he is loving it! I kind of think they like having a man around again as well...
smile.png
The girls (my human ones) just love these hens! And so do I. Thank you again so much!

Cloverleaf~ I totally loved getting the chance to see all your lovely chickens! Those black Ameracaunas (sp?) are just so pretty! And I loved the Bantam Favs, and the lavander Ameracaunas, and, and, and...! LOL. Chaeli is so thrilled with her little pair. Seriously, thanks! She is taking very good care of them.

Unfortunately I don't have any chickens to offer, but I am looking for hatching eggs -

Polish - silver, gold, buff laced

Jersey Giants - blue, splash or white

Midget White Turkeys

Bob White Quail

Silkies - white, buff, lavender

Frizzles - can be just about anything, frizz/polish, sizzles, standard cochin, or?

Indian Runner Duck, any colors

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has, I'm sure even if I don't find what's on my list I'll come away with lots of great stuff. When is the best time to get there, right at 11am? Or is it better to get there a little later? Thanks!

HI!, We can add a lady named Kim to the list. She is interested in some Jungle Fowl or other game breed that will lay at least a little. She will be bringing some OEG to trade or sell. Thanks!

Cheesecakes! Notify in advance if you want a whole one! Photo here of the one I won at the fair with: http://www.flickr.com/photos/zoomommy/4854599737/in/set-72157624640621554/

Zoomummy
I want to buy a whole cheesecake too!!! I only just noticed that what you had for the swap... I kept seeing mentions of cheesecake and that got my tastebuds going. Are you still taking orders?
Sadly I do not want any roo's with this request

Zoomummzy

2 OEGB cockerels - Crele - hatch date 5/23/10
1 OEGB cockerel - Barred - hatch date 1/5/10
1 Smooth Sizzle/D'Uccle mix cockerel - hatch date 1/5/10
I am once again bringing at least one of my black and birchen Silkie/D'Uccle mix cockerels - 9 months old. He simply will not get with the Castle Rooster program - no crowing during the day so he has to go. Pet only or for breeding. He is very unique looking and has been highly sought after by a lot of people back east and down in CA. I could have sold him 10xs over by now, I just can't get him there safely. Also a work colleague of my neighbor will be joining us. She has 2-3 laying hens (waiting to hear what breed/age) she is bringing and would like to replace them with Buff Orp hens/pullets.

**These are all pets (and hatchery quality) - not for your table. You can see photos of them here http://www.flickr.com/photos/zoomommy/sets/72157624523063673/

I have 4 baby chinchillas that just turned 8 weeks old and are ready to go to their new homes. I am not planning on bringing them just to show off as they need to be researched before they are purchased but if anyone is seriously interested I would be happy to deliver them to the swap.

They are super cute and really friendly because the kids love on them all the time.

Want: Always open to getting a new Silkie or two
Ameraucana - Looking for good quality so that the kids can show them if they want

Yep, I'm still taking orders! I will probably up until Tuesday of that week when I will need to start gathering the supplies and baking them.

ZooMummzy - I let it slip to the hubby that there would be cheesecake and he wants one. He couldn't make up his mind which kind. Would you just make us your favorite? They're $10, right?
Thanks!

Quote:
Sure will and yes, they are $10! I can make the plain one I made for the fair - I'm calling it my Blue Ribbon cheesecake
big_smile.png
You can add any sort of topping you want to it - fruit, chocolate etc or just leave it plain. I usually make it on a plain graham cracker crust.

Ok, sounds good! See you there. How will I know where to find you? Do you think you'll be there at 11am?
