oh no... I am sorry you lost one silkie.

I'll be getting chicks. I just have to hatch and breed them myself. I usually hatch about 100 chicks every year. Not sure if I'll hatch that many this year. Prices for feed have gone up.... and immunizing the chicks for Marek's etc has at least doubled.

I raise Sulmtaler for show and to have for eggs and meat.
The hen in the picture is a Sulmtaler hen and so is the rooster. The nice thing about Sulmtaler chicks is that at latest at 2 weeks you can tell if rooster or hen.

They're beauties! They kind of have a similar build to mine, the same crest, poofyness, etc....what colo eggs do they lay?
