Well, despite my best efforts and the greatest advice here on BYC, I just woke up to find Peewee had passed away sometime during the night. I'm going to see about getting that necropsy done now. Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm sorry this happened to you, it was a valiant effort on your part. I had a bad feeling about this from the beginning honestly. I believe he was just too weak at the time to make a recovery. A necropsy would be best, please let us know the results. I wish you the best.Well, despite my best efforts and the greatest advice here on BYC, I just woke up to find Peewee had passed away sometime during the night. Sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear Peewee passed.... you did everything you possibly could! But despite our best efforts... sometimes nothing changes the outcome. Once they start wasting its as if they're no longer absorbing nutrients. Have had this happen with a couple of our birds in the past, with poor recovery.
I'd think the results would take a couple of days, unless they have to culture bacteria. Purdue takes about a week for the final results to come in on cultures. Would imagine UofK would be similar timeframe.
Again, so very sorry for your loss!
