Does it work on young ones, or do they have to be closer to a hens laying age? I’m thinking the bone doesn’t widen until a female gets closer to laying, but I could be wrong.

Alright. I'll try tommorrow. I could figure out the sexes on 2 youngsters!
I think the pigeon needs to be mature adult, at egg laying stage. The opening in the pelvic bones may be to make egg laying easier. (just my thinking)Yay! March 2nd-3rd.
