My little Olive is settling so nicely. She is an absolute sweetheart!

So pretty! Was she handraised? She's very tame.

I quite doubt it. I picked her out of a cage of about a dozen others at a feed store up in Chicago and she wasn't tame there when they caught her out! She was stand offish the first two days but I have been keeping her right by my desk while I work during the day and talking and reaching in and she is now allowing me to pet her, and even nuzzling me back. She steps on my arm to go into and out of the cage and has enjoyed a few flights around the living room today. I think her breed is naturally more tame than some others, at least this is what I was told when I was researching the best breeds as pets. And so far, she is just lovely.

Alright. I'll try tommorrow. I could figure out the sexes on 2 youngsters!

Yay! March 2nd-3rd.
Does it work on young ones, or do they have to be closer to a hens laying age? I’m thinking the bone doesn’t widen until a female gets closer to laying, but I could be wrong.
I think the pigeon needs to be mature adult, at egg laying stage. The opening in the pelvic bones may be to make egg laying easier. (just my thinking):idunno
