Pigeon Talk

Can anyone tell me if a fantail could live in a large aviary with a couple of young peacocks?

Does that bird fly at all?
I’ve seen lots of pics of chickens and pigeons together, but I think it would depend on the flock dynamics, and space. If the pigeon flys and has places to get up and away, I think it “could” work. Like maybe with some bantams. :idunno

You all have told me he can’t live with the chickens.
In general circumstances the chickens can easily peck a sitting pigeon to death.:hit
WV points out the importance of the flock dynamics.
At one time,, I housed my 2 bantams and a blind EE together with my pigeon flock for the duration of winter. Rest of the chicken flock was in same loft area, but separated by wire screen. The regular chickens would have pecked to death my blind EE.
My pigeons, 2 Banties and Blind EE had no issues living together.
The rest of chicken flock had no access to do any harm.

Here are 2 pix from a long time ago. When I had my first pigeon, I kept my Serama with him for company. They stayed together in perfect harmony. Serama was a hen.
When I got more pigeons,,, Serama went back with the rest of my chickens.

Speckle, my broody came off her eggs earlier, so I jumped in with a torch to have a quick candle. She been on them for 8 days now. Well my 2 Maran eggs don't look like they are fertile. :( 1 of the araucana eggs looks a bit iffy :hmm but the last 3 araucana eggs are definately fertile! :yesss: (probably 3 cockerals!) I'll leave the other three for a couple more days and candle again. If there's nothing I'll remove them.
But on a plus there is now 2 eggs in with Boomer and Beau!
