I'm still waiting for another egg from my ash. Normally they would lay two.Still only one egg from the tumblers as of today. Are there pairs or hens that will only produce one egg at a time?

Old hens perhaps, but I have never had one. Generally the second egg is laid 48 hours after the first in the early evening.
I had it happen on occasion with young hens (not common). Are there pairs or hens that will only produce one egg at a time?
Don't forget they may have sibs from a prev clutch.![]()
Sorry to hear thisI'm wondering why this seems to be happening. Is it a thing with short beaked pigeons that they struggle to feed two? Or is only one parent feeding? How are the others doing? Are they all looking good? Thriving? Im just thinking along health issues, trying to rule out a few things as it's happened a few times now. Or I could just be bad luck.
Some reality points. 240 x 2 = 480 miles. His Rolls would consume quite a heap of Petrol.Well the stray I have has come from a guy in Glasgow. Its not that far at 240 miles! So I dont think he's gonna want to nip down to pick it up! I spoke to his wife earlier and he was going to phone me back when he finishes work.
Whatever you discuss,,, do not disclose the magnet in your loft.He did say that there is every chance she will return to my loft maybe upto a week afterwards
