Oh no. At least you got her back and sounds like she doesn't have any broken bones. If it's not cut too deep then hopefully that will just be superficial. Like casportpony says just clean it up with saline and betadine and put some neosporin cream over the wound. Keep her separate for a day or two. Keep the wound clean I think she'll be fine.Coopers grabbed a bird. I scared it. Bird got away. I retrieved bird. It has two cuts, and it's leg is injured. I haven't felt any breaks. It's pretty shook up. Please help! Anything will help! It can fly petty well. i really don't want to cull it, but be honest with me what you would do.

Good news! You will have to think of some Christmas names! So sorry BYP! I agree with the others. That’s all I’d do. I suspect she will recover just fine. As long as it doesn’t get infected.
** Update on Duff/Breezy’s eggs. Just candled them and they both look great for day 7!![]()
Thank you so much. this helps. do you have any ideas\thoughts on the legs?So sorry.I would clean the wounds with saline and chlorhexidine or saline and betadine, then I would cover the wounds with Neosporin. And I would keep it in a hospital cage for at least 5 days.
okay. Thanks ccuk. Do you have any thoughts\suggustions\ideas for the leg?Oh no. At least you got her back and sounds like she doesn't have any broken bones. okay. I have done all these things. Thank you serin.Wash the wounds, apply Neosporin or similar antibiotic, keep her warm. This is why I will never fly birds.
Is it a deep wound on its leg? You could try to put some vet wrap around a small bandage if it is. If not I'd just make sure it's cleaned thoroughly and apply the cream. You may need to trim a few feathers to keep them from sticking to it.Thank you so much. this helps. do you have any ideas\thoughts on the legs?

How is it injured? Unless it's broken, I don't think you need to do anything to it.Thank you so much. this helps. do you have any ideas\thoughts on the legs?
No. here is no puncture cut or anything around the leg. I haven't felt a break either. would a tendon possibly break? Is it a deep wound on its leg? no, it isn't broken. The bird flinches any time weight is out on it. What would be the signs is a tendon 'slipped'?How is it injured? Unless it's broken, I don't think you need to do anything to it.
