Bronze kite is no longer a mystery. He's a cock. He started trying to woo the silver as soon as the other cage was next to them. Here's the annoyance - she was totally down. She kept squatting for him. She would squat, and then he would just stand there and stop wooing and do nothing.

I read somewhere that the cocks mature slower than the hens so maybe he's just not ready yet? It sounds like eventually they'll get it right. Have they been feeding each other or otherwise courting?
