yay! I think!Leo and Chenoa are proud to announce the arrival of 2 live chicks.I'm embarrassed to admit they triumphed over my efforts to toss eggs.
I knew I had goofed up when I saw an empty shell in the farthest corner of the aviary from the loft. A good cockbird will make sure no shells are visible near the nest to attract predators. Leo is a good daddy and mate. He is twice widowed* and Chenoa is his third mate. So with this clutch he will have produced offspring with each of his mates.

I'm NOT in a hurry but I will eventually try some tosses. It's so hot now I haven't the energy to go anywhere! I gave them open loft today and they are finding some nice shady spots. I will let you know right before I do the first toss.
