I would be terrfied. I dont normally mind blood and my hands are really steady but operating on your own chick with just a youtube video.
I have no anethestic or equipment. Dont know who would unless you are a vet

Yeah, I understand. I am the same way... My theory is: I rather not see the blood, I rather it stay in my body where it belongs.

You will need a vet for this situation then, do you have a dog or cat? Ask that vet. I don't know of many etc. any chicken vets... You can look though.

Just to be clear, I did not post the video as a tutorial, I posted it so everyone could see that this was not something that should or could be done at home. This sort of surgery should *never* be done by anyone that isn't a vet.

Now i wish i trained at a vet nurse or a vet
I was close but i chose a different career path

Sid mh chick is doing fine. He is bit more perkier. Gave him water and asprin for the night. Also will be heating up his heat pad for the night. Just to soothe him. He is tired and quiet. Does not want to eat sweetcorn his favourite! Chickens love it so its sad he didnt want it. He had weetabix so has food.
Oh he does small poops often. Like white kind of yellow. No blood or spots.

I will keep this updated on him
I want sid to be a survivour! I want to look back in a long years ahead of his life.

Please pray for my sid. He is just like any otber baby chick that is overly greedy and funny. He loves sitting down on your lap. He knows the way inside. He follows you. He likes taking baths in the compost brought for plants. He loves his food.
