very docile. fits in with all the groups. but was attacked almost beheaded as a baby. please someone give me hope, i’m terrified to give him away.. to people idk. especially if i can’t visit and anyone can say they’ll send pics but will they really send pics in a week or a month???

Barred rock and sapphire gem are two different things. If it's a pure sapphire gem, it's a cockerel. Even for a Barred rock, I'd be leaning cockerel.

Sapphire gems are sex linked hybrids, the males should have dots on their heads. Do you remember if it had a dot on its head?

It's my understanding that with this breed, males will be barred. So I think you may have a Sapphire Gem, but a cockerel.

Cause TSC never has anything labeled correctly

It was labeled correctly and is a cockerel. No matter the breed, he’s clearly a cockerel due to comb size. His blue barring is additional proof since Sapphire Gems are sex-linked and females are all blue
