I'm coming from a dog breeding background and I've spoken to some Gamecock breeders as well.
I will go as so far as to say that once a breeder has locked in on a variety or the strain, I feel in that breeder should put his or her name on that line so as to know wherethat bird came from.
For example;
you're walking somebody through your yard showing them your breeding pens by identifying the strain that you have they know what kind of blood you've got in your yard.
But that's just me.
I may be overstepping here and since I don't have a lot of experience I haven't touched that subject too much, but I think I'll start talking about it and I may even create a poll for that as well.
My angle is giving the breeder the credit that he or she deserves.(If they care comfortable with that)Too many people out there busting their ass in the dark.
