Brand new to this! Can anyone more experienced help me determine if these 4.5-week-old chicks are female or not? Unfortunately, I won't be able to keep Roosters where I live. Bonus if you could tell me what breed they are!
As you can see, they had almost identical "chipmunk" patterns as young chicks from head to tail, I told them apart mostly by Winnie's pattern being more defined with more yellow tint around the face and Happy Feet's pattern being overall more fluffy and a paler yellow around the face. Once they started feathering more, they were briefly almost too identical to tell apart, but now they have more clear pattern differences to me.
Chick 1 (Happy Feet)
@ almost 1 Week Old
(Happy Feet left, Winnie Right)
Chick 2 (Winnie)
@ 1.5 Week Old
(Winnie in front, Happy Feet in Back)
Chick 1 & 2 (Winnie/Happy Feet)
@ 3 weeks old (Happy Feet in Front, Winnie in Back)
Chick 1 (Happy Feet)
@ 4.5 weeks old (currently)
Chick 2 (Winnie)
@ 4.5 weeks old (currently)
