When we were getting them in Oklahoma we had a good hatch rate but now them being shipped here to florida we loose like 20 to breaking and then half domt hatch so we told her no more. Hopefully mine will start laying and wont have to order anymore.Yeah, I got my buttons off of ebay, that just slipped my mind. My blues, gambles, valleys are all from a local breeder, well almost local (50mi) away.
Yeah, it's best to either set your own or be able to pick them up local. I have better results when their shipped in foam vs. the clear plastic egg cartons or paper mache cartons that are packed in saw dust. Ordered some rare hard to find pheasant eggs, (12) 15 were sent, only 6 not broken, none of the 6 hatched due to the rough handling. They were shipped loose in saw dust. Got lucky, I got my money refunded. When we were getting them in Oklahoma we had a good hatch rate but now them being shipped here to florida we loose like 20 to breaking and then half domt hatch so we told her no more. The foam has worked the best for Oklahoma shipping.... nothing for Florida lol i want to get button quail eggs(not until the baby is born in March) but i may have to look locally here or in Oklahoma (having the baby in OK so i may get luckier there)Yeah, it's best to either set your own or be able to pick them up local.
