Quail Hatch-a-long

Thanks! We take that chance on shipped eggs :( still sad but there isnt much that can be done.
So at the moment :
37 quail babies
24 Chicks
7 Ducklings
(Just put 116 MORE quail eggs in the bator)

Yeah I get that. I live in Washington State and can't seem to find anywhere that sells quail eggs locally, so shipping is my only option until I have enough quail to breed my own.

I hope mine will start laying now that the days get longer. This is our last batch we are buying. About to have a baby so I am going to take a little break from hatching
We get ours from NY or all places lol

That is funny. I got mine from California so it wouldn't be so far to ship. By the way congratulations on a new baby on the way!

Thanks!
How are all your eggs looking??
Just did another candling, and I now have 7 with clear veins! 2 of the eggs have darker shells so it was harder to tell yesterday, and 1 is just a smaller amount of veins that I didn't see yesterday. I also have 3 that I think might be developing but I couldn't see any veins to be sure. that leaves 14 that I am questioning. Most look as if they are not fertile at all while others are either to dark to tell, or I just don't really know what is going on as its different than I have ever seen. I did see one dark spot in one that might have been a death.

Also, I noticed two eggs that appear to be infertile but the yolk is very strange. It almost looks like their is an air bubble in the middle of the yolk that makes it so when it runs there are two separate sides of running yolk, but they still meet on the edges. I don't think that its twin yolks though... Any opinions?
