Quail Hatch-a-long

Pics
Most look as if they are not fertile at all while others are either to dark to tell, or I just don't really know what is going on as its different than I have ever seen.
Im always the worst to judge candeling... the ducklings i hatched out i thought half were blood ringed but they were just rrally clear and see through so they looked odd. I always just leave them in there for a long time just to ,make 100%sure nothing is growing.

Also, I noticed two eggs that appear to be infertile but the yolk is very strange. It almost looks like their is an air bubble in the middle of the yolk that makes it so when it runs there are two separate sides of running yolk, but they still meet on the edges. I don't think that its twin yolks though... Any opinions?
I have never seen a twim yolk while candling or incubating. I am not sure what you have there:confused:

Yeah... It's probably just a strange unfertile egg... I guess we'll see.

wow thanks I will keep looking back and hopefully soon they will update their site.
Oh is it not up to date? I'm sorry. I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. If there is contact info you could just let the guy know you'd like to pick up some eggs.

I just saw this on craiglist for my area and wondered if this would be a good coop for my quail to be raised in? Thank you

Depeding on how many quail... and some modifacation to it it may work.
You would want to make it so nothing could dig under both the run and the inside(they both look to be open at the bottom) and make sure nothing can tip it over. Everything wants to eat quail.

Hope,
Yep my plan would be to use those big u pins and seal hardworth all around the bottom of the pin so I that I can easily pull them up and move them to another green area to eat at once they destroy the spot they are under but nothing else will be able to get in. Was just seeing it for $80 and thought that would be a great deal for the quail. Thanks

Candles a few 50 of the quail eggs I have set.

Found 4 that were not fertile. The rest that I candles are starting vein.

So if the other 450 are doing the same. I may have a few little quail to tend too.

Found at least one blood ring yesterday and today I cracked it open, but I'm not sure how it died. I have 2 others that look like they may have met the same fate but I'm leaving them until I'm sure. Other than that I find at least 1-2 new well veined eggs every few days so I am still happy with the progress! 3 days till lockdown!

I personally have always loved the idea of movable coops, and having grass for my animals so in that way it's definitely great. Hope is right about it being easier for things to get in. My ducks have always been wildlifes favorite meal... but if you think you can critter proof it, I'd say it's worth a shot. Best of luck!
