Quail Hatch-a-long

Just put 120 Quail Eggs in the incubator!! Not my celadon eggs sadly, but they are a mix variety of the coturnix types!

Just set 500 quail last night.
A mix of Tennessee reds, butler, white, snowflake bobwhites, and Texas a&m cotournix.

Wowzer! That is a serious amount of eggs!

Okay so it's day 6 for my Coturnix eggs and I just candled! Out of 24 eggs almost half appear to be infertile, 4-7 are potentials but not easy to tell, and..... 4 are developing incredible veins!!!! I knew going into this that shipping would probably not reap great results but I'm just so happy that some of them are working!

I plan to hatch Celadon Quail Eggs once they arrive! So I just might be able to join in!

Really wish I could find some local quail eggs here in KS, I really want to hatch my own any suggestions on where I can look for them?

Just found this hatchery today! This is a great hatchery and if I was a local I would definitely buy from them!

Yes i have 37 total!!
One died right after hatching and then 10 eggs didnt do anything. Candled and most of them didnt make it through the lockdown and others look looked like they stoped growing before lockdown

Thanks! We take that chance on shipped eggs still sad but there isnt much that can be done.
So at the moment :
37 quail babies
24 Chicks
7 Ducklings
(Just put 116 MORE quail eggs in the bator)
