First block is done, think i'll call this one boxing with snoopy. I'll snap a pic tomorrow, if you're measuring is dead on, you can do the block from 1 1/2 strips.

My red and white strips arrived today!!! Thank you everyone, it's a really nice assortment of prints. Special thanks to CoyoteMagic for doing all the hard work to make this swap run smoothly. I need to finish a turquoise/purple and green quilt that I started, then on to the red and white one.

Will you toss up a pic when you do? I like those shades and already have turquoise in the middle bedroom (decorating a small empty room).

Will do! It's a fun little pattern. Have you seen this one yet? I found it looks better if you just haphazardly put the cut blocks back together, otherwise it just makes a uniform pattern again. http://quiltsatcs.blogspot.com/2007/04/disappearing-9-patch-tutorial.html

Neighborhood kids first quilt. I wish It had of photographed better. The blocks are 9 patch that were then cut on an angle to make them tilted. It was photographed on the clothes line so it looked wavy.
