Regurgitating chickens

Sometimes a bird drinks too much, especially if it's warm out.

Iv'e got a couple that "ralph" regularly especially in summer. They are the ones that get greedy at the water bowl.

Yeppers, greedy guzzlers!
It's especially unpleasant when it happens as I pick up the bird while I am wearing shorts and it hits your bare legs/feet.

Is this something serious? Is it going to cause them to die?
As long as bird is otherwise fine, eating/drinking/pooping/moving around OK....
.....no need to worry.

Why would a bird be wearing shorts?

Some of mine will drink water, then regurgitate over areas with bare soil, then drink the regurgitated water with the mud. Nothing has been wrong physically with the birds who have done this. They also will fight over the regurgitate.

Just jerking your chain a bit :gigHow you been? Don't see you around Sally's incubation thread anymore.
I know, it's fine....was funny.
I'm doin' alright, thanks!
I don't do chat threads, not much of a chatter, social misfit and all.
Not sure I ever was on that one, if so, it wasn't for long.

Was having this issue and thought something was seriously wrong with my chickens, they are doing just fine but still had the whole little water issue, but aart cleared the air so need to worry I’m assuming.

Because they have the legs to pull them off.:caf
To pull off the shorts....why would the want to take them off?? :gig
