Crowing
I'm on the fence. This is a Lavender Orphington that hatched on March 3rd.
I've went back in forth, it's comb was always on the medium size. It matched my pullets up until maybe the last week or so. It's comb turned pinker than it has been and it's tail kinda sits up a little higher now. It's never crowed, and it's in a pen solo with a hen and it's never attempted to mount her.
It's brothers both have very large, bold red comb and wattles with obvious saddle feathers and thick legs. Much thicker than this individual.
I lean towards cockerel I guess...? I honestly can't tell.

So she's out of the picture for breeding. Lavenders and Splash are the only ones I'm breeding myself next year, they're a lot of fun. I'm really trying to pass on the friendliness and flock-caretaking genes of my King Rooster, he is the best rooster ever.
