I have a question for you marans hatchers. Do marans take later to hatch than other breeds? I think I have 5 marans eggs and no pips from any of them. A lot of the other ones are pipping or zipping.

5 are out! Ones a silver color and the rest are black. No naked necks yet. None of the marans have popped yet.

Chicken eggs are around the 21 days +/- a few days, it's just a guideline the ones that would take longer than that would be like Turkey,duck ect that is not the same species

12 are out! I had to go visit my grandfather in rehabilitation so I missed quite a few. When I got back the humidity was nearly 100%. I had to lower the humidity so I went ahead took out the fluffest. The humidity is still a little high at this point. One more just hatched so it's about to rise again.
