Yes, you can incubate them in the carton. I tilt them a bit, so they're not sitting straight up and down, but pretty much so. And yes, you can just tilt the carton side to side to *turn* them...or gently "roll" them so the other side is up. Either way would be fine, I think, just be gentle with them.Another question...can I incubate the eggs in the modified egg carton? I have read so much it is all blurring together at this point. How do I turn them? Or after settling for a couple days do I take them out and lay them on their side then start turning. Or one person said she left them in the egg carton but used a knife to gently prop up one side then moved it to another. So much anxiety...
If you don't turn them for the first few days, they won't be in danger of sticking, BTW. You will want to be diligent and turn them at least twice a day after that though (everyone says 3 times a day, so you might want to go with that), to shift the baby around in there.
