yeah I may have my ages skewed.. I dont keep good records of birthdates. 8 months is max for me to feel safe, but usually 6-7months to pen here also.

That whitehackle cross stag is about 7 months, but a late bloomer. I have him roaming with 8 month old stag that keeps to himself in the front yard area (the one who won against the man-fighter.) Those two have establish pecking order and territories and hardly see eachother. And when they do the whitehackle knows to stay away. Im sure that'll change after new year.

I was reading that there was a guy/ Jim Owen/ that bred gamefowl in Branson MO way back in the day / called Ozark Doms and Ozark Blues / I can't seem to find any pics or other references. Anybody know about them?

I may know some guys that are at least knowledgeable. So far in conversations I have had the names have not come up. Here in Missouri, knowledge of names seems localized but that may be because old timers dropping out.
