Yeah I've always wanted a longbow or recurve. There aren't many places around here that carry them. Most shops are full of compounds and now crossbows. Crossbows are fine in imo but shouldn't be used during bow season. Closer to a gun than a bow. lol
I've always wanted to build my own longbow, Bois D'Arc trees are easy to find around here.
Holy sh*t! I ain't paying that much lol. I don't know what it is I just don't like them. I like doing things the harder way even though I come home empty handed a little more often than I'd like. Even the compound bow makes me feel like some kind of robot with all the gadgets and stuff on it. I like to keep things real simple anymore. It's always a challenge just stalking a doe, let alone getting one with a bow. Although I've shot quite a few.
