I'll have to use a battery or solar controller. Cause it's about 150-175 ft out to the new set up of pens. If I'm gonna do it I gotta do em all
Just go buy a roll of 110 outdoor electric wiring . Run it from your house (or where ever best to connect to power) down to the chicken yard ... outdoor wiring/cable can be buried (inches at what ever depth desired) . At the chicken yard run it into a plug in junction box at shed or weather protected spot and you are set to plug in your electric fence box .
(*side note*) don't hook up the power at your house until wiring has been run and completely set up .... smile .

Another way i've seen is using old or new cheap water hoses to reach from 'house located electric fence box' to chicken yard , thread the hose with your electric fence wire , before threading cut off any metal connectors on water hose, after threading tape water-hoses together with super out door duc-tape (the *water hose is an insulator itself*
and can be used to route electric fence wire anywhere without fear of being shocked .

I suppose one could thread the 110 electric out door (or indoor) wiring/cable thru water hoses .
Water hose will not wear out cause it will have no pressure or tension on it and could be buried also .

inexpensive PVC (water or other) piping can also be used for either of these jobs(buried or what ever) .... little more costly but professional .

As you probably have guessed i'm not an electrician but think of myself as knowing a little bit about everything and a whole lot about nothing .
Now for a disclaimer: { i only typed these words as something i have seen done and not saying for anyone to do them or if they are right or wrong }

heres a pic of the yard. Any ideas?

Could you take your dog down with you each day when feeding so it can mark outside and inside of chicken yard? Dog marks alone do not sway foxes but when foxes have border that is already technical to cross then they may be slower to do so if area advertised well with dog sign. Doing all that could set stage where dog goes down when chickens act up which is ideal method for educating predator. Predator very quickly learns that alarming chickens is very quickly followed by a dog that barrels in. This approach even works with Great-horned Owls that otherwise would be packing off free-range half-grown juveniles. Cost is dog may need to be left out more than you are comfortable with.

Old pics but shows something Whitney indicated she will be going. All of same bird. Stay away from the zip ties as an incredible waste of time. Mark down on head with colored permanent marker and backup at three weeks with wing bands. I hate those zip ties and toes punches do not allow for enough unique marks.
