yep seen it on one of those how it's made type shows. The incubators look like those big upright ovens you put the whole 5' rack of bread dough on, in to bake

each farm contracts with someone like tysons, or simmons and you essentially get paid to raise the birds they bring you. they have more incubation space then you could ever imagine, its very selective breeding mostly done artificially now i believe.

sometimes when they catch the chickens they leave some, i used to give them to my cousin, if the chickens are left to grow out they usually die from health complications caused by growing too big too fast

In England they still have local butchers and small farmers supplying meat. It was nice seeing a couple butchers and bakeries around town. Only one "super" market that I saw, and it was smaller than a truck stop Circle K
