I haven't done it but if you have them in a greenhouse that keeps a lot of rain and snow moisture out of them. I would think the greenhouse would be a bit nicer in the winter. I wrap my pens in plastic. They are not air tight, but on a cold sunny day it is relatively nice inside. The front has a 14x14” inch square hole and there is a 4-5” hole on the top back and the greenhouse doors are fully open so hope that is good enough for the 55 gal drums and hope they do good thru winter.
The kind warehouses use to wrap pallets. You can get a small roll at Home Depot with a roller for less than $20. I only do it when I’m expecting a lot of snow/wind where the pens will fill up or the windchills get real damn cold. Money would be better spent piling up the straw as long as it’s dry out. When you get a lot of snow make sure to add plenty of straw. It will melt underneath and stay dry on top plus they’ll stay on the roost without it lolHavoc what kinda plastic you use to wrap your domes bud?
Was pretty windy here today. 40 mph. Had to take down a stand. Didn’t hunt today just way too windy. It's gets cold here and the wind chill doesn't help so figured I'd ask appreciate it.
We actually got snow today nothing to amount to squat but it's 29 with 21mph winds right now.
