If for some reason I can't find the perfect Claret cock to put her with, I'm thinking of putting this guy with her. He's an awesome bird,very solid body, easily handled, nicely stationed medium-high, and very social. (Not a good shot of his face) I still would rather produce some pure Clarets though. I'm just very picky.

Yes he's a Leiper. He is my blend of the Rat Graves/Jimmy East/Harold Brown bloodlines. I really like the way my stags are turning out this year. Here's a couple more shots of some young Leiper stags. Related to him.

This is a picture of my Leiper. He is about 6 months old. He isn't as dark as yours but I know mine is mixed with Hatch.

Leipers can come dark red or light red or any shade in between. It just depends on the families you have.The families I have are from the dark red side(my personal preference). Leipers are hatches. There are many varieties of hatches. When you say your Leiper is mixed with Hatch, I'm assuming by the looks of your pictures
that it's Yellow Leg Hatch(just a guess). Is this correct? BTW, good looking stag.
