I agree with AMy- sounds vicious, sounds like a weasel. Evil incarnate. DO beef up your security!

Kathy, Is Oliver just bigger all over than Alexander- like taller, too? I just like how 'Xander's back slopes into his tail.

i want to add three birds to our flock next spring to make an even dozen. are the dels good, consistent layers? how's their mood - are they OK around little kiddos? i like the looks of them, and they look a good-sized bird that would fit in well with our buffs, barred rocks, and speckled sussex.

Okay Kathy I think you need to ship those boys right off to my house...they are very handsome fellas and you already have enough...ohh they're like potato chips. I have some boys growing up too I think a bit younger than yours I'm about right for the first cut I have 3 good ones and only need 2 I too need to get my scale and get going.

imthedude my dels are very good layers seem like they are always the first ones to lay in the morning while I have to wait on my Partridge Rocks and Cuckoos. Mine just started laying and I'm getting huge eggs which right now are double yolkers but 4 for 4 now for more than a week I think you will like them but I'm under "mind control"

imthedude: You could never go wrong with Dels! And the combination of kiddos and Dels is a match made in heaven! Dels especially like those humans whom they can gain mind control over quickly and easily!!

OK- I have a question. Would the "hatchery" dels ever show up with slate feet or legs? I put this in another thread as well, but I got 4 huge female chicks in a MPC order (was hoping for EEs- I got ONE!

) I thought at first they were rocks or leghorns, but now the legs are getting darker, and one has sprouted a tiny black (grey maybe) tail feather. I can't figure out these chicks to save my life. Even the ones I thought were BOs and RIR/NHR have all developed patterns in their wings.

How can I sell them if I don't know what the heck they are?
