Once upon a time, there was a hot young blonde that hated chili. It got worse when she was married. Her husband couldn’t even grill, but the one thing he made was chili. It was downright nasty!!
She offered to make it herself, but he protested because she’d never made it before. Then one day she got fed up with his saying he was going to make chili and not doing it, and protested that he had never hated her cooking. He agreed, but suddenly went into the kitchen to tell her how he wanted it done. She offered compromises, and finally got him to leave her alone.
After that night, she was in charge of making all chili.
I have a pressure canner for the sole purpose of canning chili. It’s too bad he abandoned me before getting any.

I actually like my own chili. My mother didn’t know about peppers, and never knew we all liked spicy food (she kept food plain trying to appease her seven children). My husband added stale beer and God knows what else!
