Can you list the seasonings/spices you use:frow
I can go one better, I can post the recipe. :D This recipe came from a friend. She uses Lipton's Onion Soup mix, and occasionally I'll make it that way. But my notes on the recipe and the LOS recipe at the bottom is how I normally do it. It is LOS without the dried onions. Then I grill onions and add instead of the dried onions. Definitely use more than 7-8 cloves of garlic. :D And really, the oregano and basil are the main seasonings. I used at least 2 TB of each to roll the meat in before browning.

If I use one of the meats recommended, I cook it in the crock pot for 8 hours on low. But, normally I use a Cross Rib or a London Broil and then I do it on the stove with a meat thermometer to 145 degrees, and that only takes about an hour and a half, depending on the size of the cut.

Never tried it but it sounds amazing! Thanks for the recipes Valerie.
I'm making it now! I'll let you know how it is. Serving it with our Italian Beef tonight. Going to put it right on the sandwiches. Doesn't that sound good? Well, let's hope it is. :D
