So sorry for your loss. You did all you could for her. Sometimes it helps to either get a necropsy by the state vet, or do a brief one at home to see what was causing her ascites. Some problems may be obcious while others are not so easy. Many take pictures of the abdominal organs and post them here for opinions. If you would like to get a necropsy, the body must be kept cold, but not frozen.
Her time was limited at best, birds that develop ascites are seriously ill and the prognosis is poor. There is no way to predict how long they may have, every case is individual. All we can do is make them as comfortable as we can, and say good-bye when the time comes. It is never easy, and it's just as sad as losing anyone else we love.
