my husband works 6 days a week..he goes in at 7 and gets off at 7.
i do all of the housework, laundry, cooking, kid related stuff, everything. i also use the one day off he has to go and do my own thing, which usually involves him driving me around
the way i see it is that he is working all day..he cant tell his boss that he is going to have some me time and use the computer, or put his feet up..or decide to not maybe work as hard today because he did so much the day before..no matter what, he has to be on the ball. i always have his dinner on the table when he gets home, i lay out his work clothing for him and i rub his back for him at night.
what i would do is try to make the house look really nice, fix a good meal for him, rub his back and then talk about what you would like him to do. a man loves coming home to a nice clean house without bickering and everything. not saying that yours isnt, i mean in general!!
i bet you after all that though, he will have a softer heart and be more eager to pitch in.
