The thing is, since I don't know what it is, there's no telling what colors would pop out. But, that can be fun in itself
my goal was to breed toward thr SOP and have standard colors, my current flock seems to have other ideas though 
We have seen lots of hawks and vultures here recently. Gotta keep a close eye on my chickens.

Anything works as an extra nest box, I've used old laundry baskets, cardboard boxes, even an old plastic dog carrier. 
Very cute photos! ❤Oh I love seeing Bald Eagles!! And wow, you got to see 4! We will see them in the winter usually, especially if it's a harsh winter and they flee to lower elevations out of the mountains. Once in a while they will soar overhead and on rare occasions if they are hungry enough, they will eat fresh road kill. Beautiful birds, aren't they?! Thanks for sharing!
My chickens tend to like laying their eggs in chairs. Problem is you don’t usually see the eggs til you sit down.Aww.... they do look adorable even during rush hour.
