This one I have, I still think has a face only a mother can love, but it is quirky cute in its own way. They grow on you!
That's what a few of these babies I have are. They look frizzled, so maybe I'm going to have to be careful again what I'm doing. You know, they have cuckoo silkies now too!
I saw a breeder with a black / blue cuckoo pen and a chocolate / mauve cuckoo pen! So cool! You know, they have cuckoo silkies now too!
I haven't seen any color genetics yet on the cuckoos, and then it makes me wonder if they can even be crossed with another color. It was buff I was after and those I know have to be bred buff to buff to get a buff. It may be cuckoo to cuckoo to get another cuckoo too. I don't have time to research that yet but you sure have some good ideas there!!What if you breed a mauve or chocolate rooster over a black cuckoo hen, would you get sexlinked chickswould that make chocolate cuckoo pulelts and black split to chocolate cuckoo cockerels? Hmm...
