Ok so my 15 year old sister stepped on one of my 2 day old coturnix quail chicks. I don't know how it got out of the brooder but now i am using a brooder with high walls. The chick had its butt in the air, not walking, and i had to bring it to feed and water. after about 12 hours, it is now eating, drinking, walking, running, chirping, and just overall behaving like a normal chick. is there still a danger it could die overnight? my sister weighs about 120-130 pounds but she says she only half stepped on it when she realized it was there. i never saw any blood on it or in its mouth and poop or anything. i need to know can i go to sleep or do I stay with it?
