Having an early break
I made BK, did dishes, rinsed the beans and put them on to boil with red chili & cumin,
mowed, hosed the porch, got a load of towels in, pulled the meat off the beef bones and put the bones in the pressure cooker, recleaned up the kitchen AND- it is coffee time- NEXT UP-- Kraut making

Grandpa is almost done getting all of his knives ready for the knife show, he just printed out new labels. He makes the majority of out of stainless tool steel and also forge blades out of high carbon steel, and he makes the sheath's, he has 28 on the table

now the last pic is a Push dagger ( Gamblers Knife) the blade is made from 1850's Blade Steel and the handle is 1850"s Lake recovered Maple, a Period Correct item

Absolutely amazing work. Looks like great craftsmanship. He is pretty darn talented.

👩‍🌾 With the above 68 temps we have had the garden is doing better, I have some cherry tomatoes I let go to seed LY and they are popping up all over. I moved about 8 of them to the greenhouse, Grandpa just loved them LY. The nasturtiums are finally blooming, and I think its time to pick some snap peas. The squash,, its coming along but not flowering yet, needs more heat.

@Acre4Me @Baymule @Beekissed
I also love true cherry tomatoes. The small tomatoes they sell in the stores these days are too sweet. They have no tart to them.

I got up at 3:45, My bones were hurt'n, made a pot of coffee and went out to the coop. I got it all squared away.
109757.jpg According to KIRO 7
Tomorrow we will really start to warm up with sunshine and highs in the upper-90s. Tomorrow will be the hottest June day ever in Seattle, but that record won’t last long. The strong area of high pressure will stick around on Sunday and Monday as well. We should feel some cooler ocean air at the coast on Monday, but inland we will not. Highs on Sunday will be around 103 degrees and 104 degrees on Monday.
The highs I mentioned are only for Seattle. Areas south of the city will be anywhere from 103-110 degrees on Sunday and Monday.

But here on the porch we will be about like this

Be careful what you ask for, right? hahahahahahaha

Good morning, I hope you coffee is good,

5:30am and all is well - Bob Rooster in flight to the outdoor roost, 7week old brown leghorns up on the outdoor roost,
IMG_1118.JPG

98 at 4:30 in the coop yesterday and it moved up to 101 by 6pm
I have a fan going, but I had to keep hearding the chicks out of the coop where it was a tad bit cooler, under 100

IMG_1114.JPG

I'll mix up fresh Rooster Booster Electrolytes for them
That's a good idea. The heat can really stress them.
