Red-Speckled Langshan & Black-Spotted Leghorn.

Ha-Ha !!!

(Actually Red Sex-Link & Black Sex-Link)

I HATE Acronyms !!!

IF we were meant to use "acronyms".....then Moses wouldn't have put vowels in the 48 Commandments !!!

Oh, how wonderful! Yancy, your dad did a great job. I love it. Much nicer than my little A frame.

Those chicks are growing in leaps and bounds. The camera is down at the barn so if I remember when I change their tub tonight I will snap some new photos of those big babies!

Joy! Oh, do tell me how many you get! I have had the best luck with my BLRWs hatching. I have some eggs from Jerry Foley BLRWs due to hatch on Wed.! I am super excited about them!

Thanks Amy- Yeah Dad took over the project. I designed, he built. Probably better he did finish it up cause sometimes we don't work so well together...Well he does measurements and I do visual. So I draw and he builds, Hey maybe we do work well together(just at different times)

I had fun at the Morganton show...I saw LOTS of Chickens I had never seen before!!!WOW it was alot!!! It's amazing how every chicken person just LOVES certain breeds!!! That is Awesome!!! And I now really love the mille fleur look that is cool!

Snick-AWeSOME package!!!!

Oh and a update on my Chickens...I now have four that are laying!!! Love it!!! The Girls are gettting big!

What a nice coop for the new babies Yancy! How many do you think it will hold? I have been toying with the idea of building one like that for my younguns...sort of a grow up pen as Amy would say! So many chickens so many choices

I looked over my mystery chick from mcmurray and have decided it is a silkie...think it is going to be blue. Time will tell.

Chicks eating and drinking great and terrorizing the marans! Hopefully everone will settle in by morning! Whatever was I thinking putting the brooder in the laundry room and now have 47 chickies back there

If the weather stays decent and we don't get a cold spell I may move the 7 week old frizzles to a grow up pen and put the new ones OUTSIDE in the coop in the brooder!

Friend of mine left their 7 chicks here with me so i can hand tame them..these new ones already scramble to me when I open the lid and put my hand in...maybe I can teach them tricks!

Congrats on the eggs Yancy!

Snick- I think it would hold quit a few chicks...well until they get big. I'm only putting 3-4 BlueJg's in there for now and later on SWL. But after that it would house a few bantams...Gotta do some work on the inside and put vents in it and install the heat light.

Don't know why I couldn't think of sex links, thanks for the help.

So, does anyone around here have orpingtons? I am getting a blue roo and I only have buff orps. I need some hens for this fella - blue, splash, black, white? Anybody got anything that might work?

The Hen Ranch carpenters are ready to start building today so I'll be looking for Black Jersey Giants pullets or aged hens in the near future. Anybody near Upstate, SC have any available?

I have Jersey Giants. I've been hatching all winter. I have some black JG chicks that are about 10 - 12 weeks old right now and then younger chicks as well. I'm in Spartanburg County, Duncan area. I've also just added blue to my flock so hopefully will be having some blue JG chicks soon.

Amy Nadine - update on the BLRW's - I have 6 beautiful chicks so far!! I am thrilled. There are 3 eggs left that haven't pipped yet. Of course I will leave them for a bit, I never rush them, just in case. But the 6 that have hatched are nice, big, LOUD chicks. I am very happy. Thanks!
