Not stoopid ... *dedicated*! Has a much nicer ring to it!

If I do it, it'll be on Saturday. I'll contact you via PM as it gets closer to let you know if I'm definitely making it and to schedule a time to relieve you at the table at some point mid-afternoon.

Thanks, looks interesting. I've always wanted to go to one of these, I'll see if I can organize going with a friend and of course get chicken sitting! Hope the weather holds out. I will not budge if the weather is crappy, learned my lesson from getting stuck in an ice storm for 10 hours a road trip that should have taken 2. Said never again as I prayed the whole trip home that we didn't get killed!

I'm feeling the same way about the show. If the weather's decent (no precip), count me in. And I will definitely man (woman) the table for at least an hour. Gonna see how the Bobster feels about it.

I gave my mom a half dozen eggs when she was here on Monday. Got a note from her, and I quote: "This morning we had poached eggs. The shells were so smooth and the size so sweet, I hated to crack them open. But when I did, I was amazed at the beautiful orange yolks. We ate the eggs with reverence. Delicious!"

With reverence. I love that part!

I was looking at the girls today and my money's on Wanda (the BR) to be the next layer. They're months away, but she's starting to show the most comb development and red coloring. Maybe I'll post pics and we can have a pool...

Happy New Year, all! Taking it easy tonight since the rest of the New Year's holiday will be a big time -- heading to Philadelphia tomorrow for the NHL Winter Classic on Monday.

Meanwhile, did some yard and chicken coop clean-up today and took a few new pics ...

While my chickens are not super-cooperative for picture taking, I finally managed to get the whole flock of five in one shot (plus the beagle!):

And here's Conway strutting around, being rooster-cool:

Lastly, here's the "babies" ... the now nearly grown Plymouth Rocks hanging out inside, still keeping their distance from the Japanese Bantams:
