My most recent hatch had three Sussex, one being a speckled. She (or he) is wheaten based hence the light colouring but I'm hoping it doesnt effect the adult plumage too much.
No name yet as its up to one of my children and hes thinking of a unisex name

We had one briefly, we ordered a pullet and she turned out to be a cockerel so we had to rehome him. He was my favorite as a chick, it makes me really look forward to getting another someday.

This happened to me, too. That SS was the snuggliest chick of them all, up until the time he had to be rehomed. I ordered another for spring because I have such good memories of him!
