Spring Granny Square Swap

Well... was going to the post office on Tuesday and hubby reminded me it was Tax Day. Nope... I did not go! Finally got there yesterday and got them in the mail to Betty. Headed to Baltimore on Monday for a week so had to get them out before I left. Have another SWAP that I am also trying to get the tails tucked and clipped on the squares and get them out before I leave. Should be able to ship them out Saturday... hard to believe April is almost over already!

Sounds like everyone is busy. I'll be looking for your package, KreativeKat. I just e-mailed off the newsletter I do for the Masonic Lodge and if there are no corrections I can put May's to bed and have a few weeks before I start June's. Gardening is picking up now that it is warmer. We had snow on the mountains and rain here last Saturday and today it was 91. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium at times. I took my granddaughters quilt to the quilters so in a few days it will be ready for the binding and then it can be mailed off. I still have to make a label for it.

KreativeKat your squares arrived today. They're so pretty. I hope everyone is winding down as the end is almost in sight. I've received three shipments so far.

How exciting that it's getting so close to the completion due date. I also have to still finish mine as well.

Sooooo what is everyone going to make w/ all their beautiful squares? I still haven't connected one swap square from all my swaps I've participated on here over the years.

Making an afghan to go with a rug. The rug has green and a lot of blue in it. It doesn't have purple, but it has light and dark dusty rose, so I think purple will be fine. It also has off-white and beige. I'm making additional squarts in off-white (and some real white, as I know some of you have used white), beige, blue, light and dark dusty rose. The off-white I have is yellowish, but I think it will be ok.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has made. I don't mind getting some of my own back, too. It's all representative of the swap. I hope that, in addition to Betty's posting pictures of all the squares, some of us will post pictures of what we make.

You all inspire me to keep learning, or at least trying to learn (I have difficulty with written instructions), new and interesting and beautiful things.

Wow Smitty - this is my first square swap but if they've all had seasonal themes, I bet you could make a REALLY beautiful 'Seasonal' blanket that goes from winter colors through spring.
