Spring Granny Square Swap

Wow! You're all busy. Kate the 28th is fine for mailing. I haven't given too much thought as to what I'm going to make but I think I'll do an afghan and add squares if necessary. It would be more of a lap thing not a full size one so when I snuggle under it when I watch TV on Chilly days and nights I can think of everyone who sent a block or blocks to help complete it. What memories it will bring. Hope all of you are well. I'm fine. Just took a free motion quilting class and I learned a lot....I learned that I have a lot to learn

I plan on practicing a little every day so I can do it better. I do better with free hand type quilting. It's harder to follow lines in a stencil when you do free motion. It turned hot on us....102 on Sunday but it's down to 77 this evening as a storm is heading our way.

Canesisters that is beautiful! Sunny that is fine with me, after you post it I'll see if I can do it, jewel tones sound pretty bright.

Yep, it should be a pretty vivid color scheme. I love some of the newer colors I'm seeing lately that many yarn companies are coming up with. I'll probably pick out a couple of color groups along these lines from 2 different brands and let everyone vote on which one they like the best. I could do a poll and have all BYCers vote but that could be a few too many opinions from non crocheters. IDK, I need to pick Kim and Betty's brain first to see what they would have liked to have done differently or what words of wisdom they can impart. No sense in reinventing the wheel all over again!

Cool! I would love to see a pic of them all spread out on a table or the floor! This is only my second swap so I wouldn't have much to show. If it's too much work nevermind, I know how crazy busy you are these days!!!

That is such a sweet thought Betty! I too want to make something to keep so that I can remember everybody. I will even leave your tags on til they fall off and by then I will have memorized the names that go with each square! :) Thank you for that lovely mental picture Betty!!!

Some of the colors in Canesisters' shawl are jewel-like. Jewel colors would be pretty (the shawl is, too). I don't know that I'd be able to participate. Someone gave me four fifteen-gallon garbage bags full of yarn when I moved. I already had a good stash and am up to my pineal gland in yarn now and wouldn't know where to put more. I guess I could get one skein at a time and make solid colored squares. Or, if it would work for Sunny, I could look through my stash and see if anything matches and mail samples to see whether I can use them. If onyx is considered a jewel, I could use the black I have.

Writer-If nothing else, at least he knows chickens.

Today was sewing class and the ladies from the quilt guild that has been supporting us brought us 3 massive trash bags of yarn~! Most of it is baby yarn, but there is beautiful Royal Blue in it and a couple of other regular type yarns. The crochet group tomorrow will be excited!

OK... back to crochet! I finished mine last night. Got all the ends tucked in, just need to tag them and put them into baggies, then get into town to mail them. They are supposed to be mailed out by when?

BTW Rancher has mentioned his dear wife, on several occasions, here on this thread.
