In cochins combs pinking up by 5 weeks and slower feathering generally mean rooster. Give it a week, if that comb starts turning red than more than likely a rooster.

Both sexes will have a similar tail carriage, it will be a while until you see the saddle feathers if it's a rooster.

Interesting. They just seem to look different. The other chicks have puffy tail feathers while Millie has compact tail feathers.

Tail feathers don't really matter unless the chicken is an adult.

UPDATE: Six weeks old today. I'm starting to lean toward cockerel unless by some wild chance Millie is a Millie. The others are almost done feathering.

Welp, had a feeling from about when they were a week old. Eventually I'll have to re-home "him" or hope our rooster collar that we got for a hen works. It would be a matter of getting the collar right early on the first fitting.
