If the kid had been wearing a coat or sweater I might not be so outraged. But she had on flipflops, mini-skirt and marginal short-sleeved t-shirt. The kid was dressed for the beach in summer time, not school in late November. RIDICULOUS!

No one listens to almost fourteen year old kids, but basically, that article says everything I want to. I do my own shopping, and it's very annoying trying to find something to wear so that I don't look like I charge five dollars an hour.

In the school where I'm working this year we have a teacher who wears them all the time. In my last school they weren't allowed at all, no matter what time of year. Too many playground injuries I think.

Flipflops and high heels cause the most foot and ankle injuries...

I have 3 pairs of the thickest soled uglies sandals ever made and I've worn them all out...My Aunt calls em the Jesus shoes...I'll wear em until it snows, then out come sneakers and boots...gotta show off the chicken sox somehow...LOL

We had 30 degree mornings about a week ago and there were kids that were standing outside waiting for the bus in shorts, short skirts and short sleeves...

My DS tried to go out without a coat and I dragged him back in.

You cant blame the stores its only supply and demand. Its what they (the kids) want. And parents dont have any control anymore! If the child screams long enough they get it

Just a couple of things here. This is why I dress my kids in clothes from the used clothing stores. I can usually find some old stuff that's not in style maybe but at least covers their bottoms and bellies. My kids end up dressing like me in jeans and t-shirts every day but hey, they're dressed modestly.
Second thing. Predators don't care if your kid is dressed like a hooker or not. They actually prefer the kids who look like kids. They're attracted to young and innocent.
Sorry, I was just feeling a little uncomfortable with some of these statements like "she deserved to be raped because she was dressed the wrong way."
