One of my darks got on the nestbox last night when I went out to lock them up. She got off the nest just long enough this morning to grab a piece of bread and went right back to it.

I'm staying away from the coop as much as possible today and if she's still sticking, I'll plan to move her tomorrow night. Does that sound like a plan?
I know what my roo is capable of, since he already has seven children living in another state.

(I was afraid to type this for fear it would jinx me

Yay!! I know how excited I was when my hen went broody! That was a learning lesson, for sure! (Just b/c I didn't seperate her on time, etc)

I'll keep my fingers crossed that yours stays broody!!

How cool!

I'm kind of superstitious like you, but if she's made up her mind, there's not much that is going to jinx her off that nest!

Good luck and have fun!!!

Cyn, should I move her tonight? I'm worried that if I leave her there another day one of her bossy sisters will run her off. Brigid has already been in the coop yelling out at her this morning.
